Harvest Fest Retreat 2008

This October, 22 ladies were at the Harvest Fest Retreat. They enjoyed a day of sewing, eating, and hanging out with friends. Harvest Fest is continually improving. For example, this year ladies had the opportunity to enjoy two days at the retreat. Also, everyone got loads of goodies and free gifts. Thanks a lot to Blank Quilting, P&B, and E.E. Schenk for providing some great freebies for our quilters!

Our retreat took place in Mountain Home's VFW Hall. The ladies had a place to sew and another area to eat their food at.

This was the eating area! My personal favorite.

This was the area for our "portable store". Haha, ladies could buy some new items that we have in the store.

And of course, Show&Tell time! Lots of the ladies showed off their latest and cutest projects.

It was tons of fun for everybody and many of the ladies said they couldn't wait for next year. Neither can we!

I've been trying to work really hard at getting the website and online store updated, fun, and appealing. But we've actually been having a lot of technical difficulties with both the website and online store. So please just hang tight but keeping checking everything. Thanks so much for your patience!

A lot of new things are in the quilt shop! So be sure to check out all of our new fabric at our online store.

Also, we are now selling one yard cuts, fat quarters, and some kits at Mulberry Place in Mountain Home, Idaho. This is probably a lot easier for the quilters who live in Mountain Home, so please take advantage of shopping at the Mulberry Place. We are also carrying Cachet soy-blended candles from Mulberry Place in our own store so be sure to check these out next time you're in the store. So thank you in advance for supporting both of our stores.

Long Arm Machine

Three Island Quilts now has it's own Gammill Long Arm Quilting Machine! This has been such an exciting adventure so far. We've had to move things around in the shop but we are settled in with our new machine. My father, the owner's husband, Bill has been practicing on the long arm a lot and it shows! He has produced beautiful quilting on many quilts so far.

We will be offering classes for those who would like to learn how to machine quilt. After you take a class, you may rent the machine for a certain amount of time. If you'd like us to quilt your quilt for you, we have the prices set now. For more information, please call us at (208) 366 - 3031.

Pix Foundation

I'm very sorry for the gap between posts!

Recently we participated in a quilt show with the Pix Foundation in Nampa. The foundation put on this event to raise money to help clean up their town! It was a great experience for us.
